I never knew you, these are strong words that came out of the lips of Jesus in V-22-23 of Matthew 7
22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
These words have always made me tremble with fear and I hope they have that same effect on you. They’ve often caused me to examine myself to see if I’m in the faith. I wanted to explore Matthew 7:21-24 today because I believe there is an explosion of false prophets more than ever in our day and age and as believers we ought to guard our hearts and minds against counterfeits.
