A Close Look At John 14 28, The Father Is Greater Than I, The Meaning?

In John 14:28, we read the following “28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.” Chapter 14 of the Gospel of John can be considered Jesus’ farewell speech to his disciples. Jesus was giving his disciples his final words prior to his departure, going back to the Father. So I can imagine how sad and broken-hearted the disciples were as Jesus was making one statement after the next. I have always been puzzled over this verse and decided to look at it more closely today, see video below
