In verses 1 &2 of the 11th chapter of the Book of Hebrews, it is written,
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation
As good as mathematician Pascal’s wager is about assuming the existence of God, the argument still finds its roots in probability and pragmatism, and that’s certainly not what Hebrews 11( v1-2) is portraying. If there is one thing that the late Dr RC Sproul and St Augustine share together, it’s this statement
“ there is no virtue in having a faith that is rooted in probability or a leap in the dark – that’s credulity and Scriptures warn us about this kind of deadly faith.
So how do we live out Hebrews 11:v1-2?
