The BLM (Black Lives Matter) movement has spread like gangrene across the United States. It swept over the country like a hurricane and has since achieved international acclaim. It is possibly one of the most dangerous movements ever conceived because, on the surface, it looks to be working for the betterment of black people. However, a biblical perspective reveals that it is based in the devil’s schemes. A few years back, I wrote a post about the Black Lives Matter movement, see link below
For Any Lives Or Anything To Matter At All God’s Word Has To Matter
Today, though, I’d like to share an interview with Voddie Baucham that I recently watched. Rashad Richey, an African American man hooked on capturing Dr Baucham, was interviewing him on his Indisputable show about the BLM Movement. I was impressed with Voddie’s biblical insight in answering each of Rashad’s premeditated devious questions, and I wanted to share it with you. See video below

What Can We Learn From This Interview
One of the things we’re told in the Bible is to always be ready to respond to anyone who asks us a question about our faith, but to do it with kindness and respect, which Voddie embodied to the fullest extent possible in this interview. This exchange is also a clear reminder for us Christians to be grounded. There is no room for laziness for the believer. We must know what we believe and also know why we believe what believe. But Jesus gives us reassuring words in Luke 21:12-15,
12 But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake. 13 This will be your opportunity to bear witness. 14 Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer,15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict
I want you to focus on verses 14 through 15, where Jesus offers to empower us via His Holy Spirit to stay steady and respond to any adversity we may face. The consoling statements do not take away the need to study the Scriptures diligently, because the Bible is our only weapon. So it is my desire that as Christians, we endeavor to become acquainted with the Holy Spirit’s Sword, which is the Word of God, so that we may be able to resist the devil’s schemes. We understand that we are fighting principalities and forces of evil in the air, rather than flesh and blood. While Rashad Richey may be the one in front of Dr. Voddie Baucham, the actual adversary (Satan and his minions) are the ones behind Richey. I will leave you with the following passage,
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 6 being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.
My name is Tayib Salami and I started Tayibs.com for the sole purpose of exploring difficult questions about the Christian faith that most of us shy away from. In 2017, I entered a very dark time in my life and it’s only by the grace of the Living God that I’m still alive today. It led me to really go deeper in my faith and consider a myriad of questions that I never thought about asking myself or others before. Welcome and enjoy the ride with me.
