Revelation 4 Exposition From A Jewish Perspective

Spread the love

At the beginning of the year, I decided to finally get over my aversion to the book of Revelation and study it. I have to admit that this is quite a complex book to comprehend, especially for non-scholarly folks or people who haven’t really gone to seminary. I was gifted a book written by GK Beale, which I highly recommend, and I also got hold of several commentary books that I was using. I quickly realized how difficult the book of Revelation was when I got to chapter 4.

So I was looking for Jewish commentaries on it, and I believe by the grace of God, He led me to a very good exposition courtesy of Beithaderekh that I will be sharing on my site. It has certainly been a blessing, and today I’ll be sharing Revelation 4 with you all.

Revelation 4 Explained

Following the letters to the four churches, chapter 4 provides a magnificent glimpse into the celestial realm. It portrays a stunning vision of the heavenly Throne room, with John beholding the majesty of God enthroned, surrounded  by twenty-four elders and four living creatures. This chapter establishes the backdrop for the revelation of divine judgment and the future occurrences prophesied in the ensuing chapters, underscoring the supremacy of God.
