Revelation 7 Exposition From A Jewish Perspective

Spread the love

Welcome back to our study of the book of Revelation. In our last session, we delved into chapter 6, which revealed the opening of the 6 scrolls, calamitous events, a cry for justice from martyrs, and the impending wrath of God that caused unbelievers to panic. Today, we will continue with chapter 7, focusing on one of the most controversial topics ever—the identity of the 144,000. The apostle John witnesses a vision of 144,000 individuals sealed from the twelve tribes of Israel. Furthermore, he sees a diverse multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language standing before the throne and the Lamb. They are adorned in white robes, symbolizing the redeemed who have emerged from the great tribulation to worship God in heaven. Revelation 7: The 144,000 Sealed

From Other Perspectives

I want to clarify that there is only one correct interpretation of any books of sacred scriptures, as the author is God himself. Among the books of the Bible, none has gathered more controversy than the book of Revelation. Alongside the fantastic study I have been sharing, courtesy of Beith Haderek, I also want to share Dr. Voddie Baucham’s exposition of this book. I believe it is very serious, scriptural, and has tremendously challenged me on many aspects. I decided to incorporate it in conjunction with Beith Haderek’s study.

Revelation 7:1-8, The 144,000

Revelation 7:9-12, The Great Multitude

Revelation 7:13-14, Who Can Stand?
