Revelation 6 Exposition From A Jewish Perspective

Spread the love

Welcome back to our study of the book of revelation, in our last study we took at look at chapter 5 where the apostle John is introduced to the scroll with seven seals. The content of the scroll will later be revealed but at the moment when it was introduced there was no one worthy to open it, save the lamb. Moving forward to chapter 6, we examine the unveiling of the first 6 seals, which bring forth a series of calamitous occurrences on earth, such as war, famine, pestilence, and natural disasters. These events symbolize the trials heralding the end times, marking the onset of God’s judgment and the commencement of the envisioned “great day of his wrath” portrayed in the apocalyptic scenes of this chapter. Revelation 6 Explained From A Jewish Perspective

From Other Perspectives

I want to clarify that there is only one correct interpretation of any books of sacred scriptures, as the author is God himself. Among the books of the Bible, none has gathered more controversy than the book of Revelation. Alongside the fantastic study I have been sharing, courtesy of Beith Haderek, I also want to share Dr. Voddie Baucham’s exposition of this book. I believe it is very serious, scriptural, and has tremendously challenged me on many aspects. I decided to incorporate it in conjunction with Beith Haderek’s study.
