Do You Really Want To Be Healed!!!!!!

Spread the love

This post was birthed out of a sharp rebuke I received from the Lord a few days  ago. Scriptures say that God disciplines those He accepts as his children; and no discipline seems pleasant at the time but later on it leads to a harvest of righteousness for those who have been trained by it. Last Thursday ( May the 14th) I moved out of my old house and I had a landlord whose behavior and actions left little to be desired. The Lord in His grace finally led us to a new house  we were all excited about. But once we moved in, my attitude changed and ingratitude settled in ( I became almost depressed  instead of rejoicing ). The next day on my way back home from work , I was praying and the Lord led me to John 5:1-18. I didn’t know why the passage crossed my mind and I spent the next 48 hours meditating on it until I understood what HE was trying to teach me. And this is what I’m going to explore today. The questions you see below are the ones  I will consider in this presentation.

What was the significance of the sheep gate?
Why did Jesus ask the invalid man if He wanted to be healed?
What was the attitude of the Pharisees ? What does it reveal?
Analyze why Jesus told the man stop sinning or something worse may happen to you ?
How did that apply to me ?
