the wrath of God

You And I Don’t Deserve Anything But The Wrath Of God

Spread the love

It is probably surprising to many that you and I don’t deserve anything but the wrath of God. While walking this morning, I saw a young man walk out of his house and get into his car. Then I started thinking about what he could be thinking about. Suddenly the following thought came to my mind- he is probably assuming that he is going to come back home tonight safe and sound. And most of us operate that way, we never think that today might be our last. We are under the assumption that it is our right to be alive, that we deserve to be happy. A couple of days ago, I was watching a video of this youtube guy who produces some of the best NBA games breakdown. He was sharing his journey from youtube to landing an NBA job with the Dallas Mavericks. I was very excited and couldn’t wait to listen to his story. I’m still very thrilled and happy for him and wish him all the best but I couldn’t help but cringe because of a statement he made during his video. He said “I was getting the recognition I thought I deserved”. Today I’m going to explore why the word “deserve” should be used with extreme caution. We’re going to talk about why we deserve nothing but the wrath of God only, see video below

Why the wrath of God?
